The renovations – day 87

A short week, following the four day Easter long weekend, but a long list of items ticked off the list!

waterproof enclosure for outdoor area audio-visual and low voltage equipment mounted to wall (DIY by me )
wiring at main switchboard almost complete
painting now ~85% complete
light installed above shaving cabinet in downstairs bathroom
security lighting installed at side of the house and on wall overlooking outdoor area
second weatherproof power outlet installed in outdoor area below the A/V gear box
new light fittings installed in dining room and front bedroom
oven and dishwasher installed
upstairs toilet finished
cabinetry finished in upstairs bathroom
feature wall (brightest purple you will ever see ) painted in outdoor area
downstairs toilet finished
spill lighting installed at top of the new storage units upstairs
bedroom wall (previously water-damaged) repaired and repainted
floorboard repairs underway

We needed to have a series of discussions with the builder today to check, double-check, reconfirm and quadruple-verify details for the kitchen cabinetry. Of course, much of it depends on the appliances used, so we wrote up a list of the items we’re going to use, to send to the builder.
